Debut Trailer & Poster For 'The Sessions' Starring John Hawkes and Helen Hunt

Here's the debut trailer for The Sessions (formerly The Surrogate) starring John Hawkes as a polio-stricken man looking to lose his virginity. Helen Hunt and William H. Macey co-star. The film debuted earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews, so expect some awards buzz (particularly for Hawkes and Hunt) later this year. The Sessions opens October 26th. Based on the poignantly optimistic autobiographical writings of California-based journalist and poet Mark O’Brien, THE SESSIONS tells the story of a man confined to an iron lung who is determined–at age 38–to lose his virginity. With the help of his therapists and the guidance of his priest, he sets out to make his dream a reality.
