Delightfully Bizarre Trailer for 'The Details' Starring Tobey Maguire

Recalling the idiosyncrasy of the trailer for A Serious Man, The Weinstein Company has released an "unofficial" (see: not approved by the MPAA) trailer for Jacob Aaron Estes' The Details. It's two minutes worth of bizarre curiosity before realizing the actual film will likely fall short of the charming mysteries and lively characters of a Coen brothers film. The Details premiered in January of 2011 at the Sundance Film Festival to so-so reviews, and has been sitting on TWC's shelf ever since (following an inexplicable $7+ million acquisition). Starring Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney, Kerry Washington, Ray Liotta, and Dennis Haysbert, The Details will finally see a limited theatrical release on November 2nd.

A married couple (Tobey Maguire and Elizabeth Banks) who, already struggling with issues like infidelity and whether they should stay married, see their lives further complicated by ravenous raccoons burrowing under the sod in their back yard. A disagreement over how to dispatch the pests creates a chain reaction of mishaps.
