Feel-Good International Trailer for 'The Sessions'

Empire brings us a playful new international trailer for The Sessions, starring John Hawkes as a polio-stricken, fully paralyzed man looking to lose his virginity. Helen Hunt plays the "sex surrogate" helping him on the journey, along with William H. Macy's priest who provides guidance and approval. The film premiered earlier this year to raves at the Sundance film festival, and will open in theaters on October 26th. Synopsis and trailer below.

Based on the poignantly optimistic autobiographical writings of California-based journalist and poet Mark O'Brien, THE SESSIONS tells the story of a man confined to an iron lung who is determined--at age 38--to lose his virginity. With the help of his therapists and the guidance of his priest, he sets out to make his dream a reality.
