I must admit that the most exciting thing about seeing the trailer for Price Check was neither the pleasantly energetic performance from Parker Posey nor Eric Mabius' bewildered reactions to her, but rather the surprise appearance of comedian Amy Schumer in a supporting role. Making a name for herself roasting celebrities on Comedy Central, she's someone who I genuinely think deserves some great comedy roles. Anyway, Price Check premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival to decidedly mixed (/middling) response, though if snappy comedy is your thing keep an eye out for when the film becomes available on VOD October 11th and opens in theaters November 16th. Synopsis and trailer below.
A husband and father (Eric Mabius) with plenty of bills deals with a new female boss (Parker Posey) who drives him to be the best he can be at his job, and also eventually proves to be a source of temptation.
